     Jacobus Monnik was from in Almelo at his marriage.1,2 He (1) married (NH) Anna Magdalena Monnik, daughter of Gerrit Roelf Monnik and Anna Catharina Cramers, on 26 Nov 1719 in Almelo1,2 (banns (NH) 29 Oct 1719, Almelo.)1 He (2) married (NH) Aleida Bruggink on 23 Oct 1746 in Almelo2 (banns (NH) 17 Sep 1746, Almelo. Registration in Amsterdam on 22 Sep 1746.)2 He died b 1765, because he died before Jacobus' marriage.3

Landgericht, Almelo, 22 Jul 1754:

Baerent ten Bruggencate, Klaas Troofst, Jacobus Monnik and Roelof Paschen, master shoemakers in Almelo, appearing also for the other guild members, on 22 Jul 1754 had arrested Gerradus Warnink for the unlawful sale of a pair of shoes. Klaas Troofst had found Gerradus, the son of the master shoemaker Egbert Warnink of Borne, this afternoon at the house of Gerhardus Rhee, with a pair of new shoes, whereof he, Klaas Troofst ey were brought here to be sold, counter to the rules of the shoemakers guild, that was recently started within Almelo. Aforenamed Egbert Warnink refused to pay the guild, and so he was arrested. Then appeared the arrested Gerradus Warnink, minos son of his father Egbert Warnink, master shoemaker in Borne, with lawyer Dr. Hein as his guardian, and asked that he not be put in jail, but would be allowed to stay somewhere more comfortable until tomorrow. The complainants say he can stay with Klaas Troofst.4
