     Margaretha Schimmelpenning was from in Almelo at her marriage.¹ She married Ernst Hendrik Boom, son of Jan Hendrik Boom Lambertszn and Anna Apolonia Dannenbergh, on 2 Mar 1780 in Weerselo^2,1 (banns (NH) 12 Feb 1780, Almelo.)¹ She died c 1806, because she died c. 6 yrs before Anna's marriage, and c. 14 yrs before Jan Hendrik's.^3,2

Margaretha Schimmelpenning with her guardian Lambert Harwig made a will on 9 Jul 1804. She has asked to name Hendrik Arendsen and Gerrit Nijhof as guardians over her children, namely Jan Hendrik Boom, Aleida Chistina Boom, and Anna Boom. She wishes that her minor daughters, as long as they are still unmarried or under age, will live with her son Jan Hendrik Boom at the Bleekerij in an undivided household and holding the property in common. She wishes that her parents-in-law's will will be followed precisely, as far as is still appropriate. This means that her son Jan Hendrik Boom wil get, if he wishes, at the majority of marriage of his 2 sisters, everything that belongs with the bleachery and the brewery, such as kettles, boats, etc. Further he will get after payment of ƒ600.- the bleaching house in the Hagen and 2 pieces of land, on next to the bleaching house, acquired in an exchange, and the other baught from Juff. ten Cate. At majority or marriage the children can decide for themselves, whether they will keep or break the clauses of the will. She leaves to her 2 daughters al her linen, woollen, silk, gold and silver. She names her 3 children as sole heirs, the inheritance to be divided into 3 equal parts. The guardians Hendrik Arendsen and Gerrit Nijhof declare to agree with the stipulations in the will.⁴
