     Gerrit Nijland was born in 1728 in Almelo.3,1 He married (NH) Hendrica de Ruiter, daughter of Jan Arentsen de Ruiter and Aaltje Willemsen Kuijper, on 24 Jan 1759 in Almelo1,3,4 (banns (NH) 30 Dec 1758, Almelo.)1 He died on 10 Jan 1808 in Stad Almelo. Gerrit Mokkelencate was the witness3 Two children survived him, acc. to the death certificate, but there is at least two more daughters in Amsterdam.3,5
