Almelo Family Reconstructions

     Jan Stulen was born in 1763 in Nieuwenhuizen.³ He (1) married Grietje (Cornelis) de Ruyter in Amsterdam (She was 27 yo, b. Amsterdam, Lutheran)³ (banns 8 Apr 1791. His witness was Willem Hempe (?); hers her father Pieter de Ruyter.)³ He (2) married Neeltje van Eyk in Amsterdam (She was 27 yo, b. Amsterdam, NH)⁴ (banns 24 May 1805. He was wid. of Grietje de Ruyter; her witness was her father Rikus van Eyk.)⁴ He en Naatje Hondebrink had a relationship.¹ He (3) married Trijntje Smit in Amsterdam (She was b. Amsterdam, wid. of Abel Keyzer)⁵ (banns 12 Jan 1810. He was separated from Neeltje van Eyk; his witness was his brother Barend Stulen; her witnesses were her parents Jouke Smit and Vrouwtje Jacobs. They had registered earlier on 22 Dec 1809, but that was crossed out.)⁵
At Jan Stulen's 3rd marriage in 1810 his witness is his brother Berent Stulen. A Barend Stulen van Nieuwenhuyzen married in Amsterdam at age 22 in 1792. He had the consent of his mother Johanna Troost van Nieuwenhuizen.
     DB Neuenhaus has Jan Stulen (b. 30 Sep 1763 in Neuenhaus, bp. 30 Oct 1763, d. 06 Apr 1843 in Amsterdam) as son of Berent Stulen (son of Berent Stulen and Anna Rotgers) and Elsabein Gerritsen (no parents). They also have a Berent Stulen (bp. 26 Feb 1769, d. in Neuenhaus) son of Berent Stulen (son of Jan Stulen and Anna Reefman) and Anna Elsabeen Gerritsen (b. 1747, father Joost). There is no more information for this Berent
     There is another Barent Stulen (23 yr, b. Amsterdam, son of Lucas Stulen, marr. Anna Margaretha Stulen (25 yr, b. 1775) she is prob. in the DB Neuenhaus as daughter of Berent Stulen and Geertruida Nakken. This would make her a half-sister of Jan, which explains why Jan calls her husband his brother.^6,7
