Aaltjen Hulshof on 7 Jul 1797 in Borne4 (banns (Doopsgez.) 11 Jun 1797, Almelo.)4 (Divorced.)9 He died on 7 May 1812 in Borne.9

He was baptized (Doopsgez.) in 1776 in Almelo by Ds. G. ten Cate.3 He was in 1811 a court clerk.5,4 He and Thomas Buissant moved in 1775 to Almelo from Haarlem.2
Geertruid was dutch-reformed, Abraham was mennonite. Shortly after the marriage they both want to become members of the Mennonist church, but the Count of Rechteren disagrees, and a whole ruckus ensues. See also the records of the Mennonist church, in which a number of the letters are preserved.2,10 He was mentioned in the will of Thomas Buissant on 28 Nov 1774.2,11
