     Aaltje Broekhuis was born on 26 Jan 1826 in Ambt Almelo. The birth was registered by his father Gerrit Broekhuis and the witnesses Jan Bartels and Abraham Schoppert.1,2 She married Hendrik Schoenmaker on 18 Dec 1851 in Wierden (He was 23 yr, b. Wierden, son of Jan Schoenmaker and Jenneken Mullink.)3 She died on 22 Jul 1869 at Visschedijk in Ambt Almelo.2

They legitimized one child at the marriage.3
Gerrit's death certificate calls his wife Johanna Letteboer. Aaltje's marriage certificate explains that that is in error See the cert. at FamilySearch.3,2,4
