     Mannes Slaghuis was born on 12 Jun 1815 in Ambt Almelo. The birth was registered by his father Berend Slaghuis and the witnesses Jacob Siegfried Streng and Jannes Rensink.1,2,3 He married Hendrina Bokhove, daughter of Gerrit Bokhove and Ziena Vellekate, on 16 Apr 1841 in Ambt Almelo2,3 (banns 4 Apr 1841, Ambt Almelo.)2 He died on 30 Jun 1848 at Schelfhorst in Ambt Almelo. Arend Velten and Gerrit Bokhove were the witnesses.3
