     Jannes Meijer was born in Almelo.2 He was baptized (RK) on 7 Feb 1720 in Tubbergen. Sponsors were Lambertus Warninck and Euphemia Meijer.2

Jannes Meijer made a will on 25 Jun 1795. He names as sole heir his nephews Hermen Warnink, Hendrik Warnink and Jannes Warnink, however with the stipulation that if Jannes Warnink demands division of the estate, or misbehaves, only ƒ1000.- has to be paid to him. He leaves to Lambert Warnink living in Amsterdam ƒ1000.-, to Albert Warnink in Amsterdam ƒ1000.-, to the children of Antonij Warnink in Almelo ƒ1400.- with the understanding that Antonij Warnink and his wife may use the interest until the children are of age or married, but the money has to be held by the heirs, and that Antonij Warnink's wife will receive ƒ3.- of each ƒ100.- yearly.1
