Almelo Family Reconstructions

     Gerrit Witvoet was born in 1724.¹ He (1) married Sophia Elisabeth Amstel.^1,4 He (2) married (NH) Johanna Maria Schroeder, daughter of Antonij Schreuder and Johanna Holtkamp, on 22 Nov 1789 in Almelo^4,2 (banns (NH) 23 Oct 1789, Almelo.)⁴ He died on 2 Mar 1806 in Stad Almelo. Martinus Reinders was the witness¹ Two sons Klaas (1 granddaughter) and Frederik (2 grandchildren), and two grandchildren from his deceased daughter Aaltje survived him.¹

Gerrit Witvoet made a will on 19 Jun 1800. He names as sole heir his wife Johanna Maria Schreuders. He leaves ƒ10.- and 10 stuivers to his children from his 1st marriage with Sophia Elisabeth Amstel, and to the child of Roelof Wolhuis, husband of his wife, named Gerrit Wolthuis his silver shoe and pants buckles, and further to his children al his clothes. If one of the children objects to this arrangement, he will get nothing, and that part will go to his wife.²
Gerrit Witvoet and Johanna Maria Schreuders made a will on 3 Aug 1804. They named each other as heir. Testatrix leaves her clothes to her daughter Johanna Klumpers, wife of Martinus Reinders. Testator leaves ƒ10.- each to his sons, namely Klaas Witvoet and Frederik Witvoet, children of his 1st wife Sophia Elisabeth Amstel, and to the children of Roelof Wolthuijs, husband of his daughter Aaltjen Witvoet together ƒ10.- , and to his grandson Gerrit Wolthuis his silver shoe- and pant buckles. He leaves his clothes to his children and grandchildren. Testatrix leaves ƒ30.- to her son Antonij Klumpers, who lives in Amsterdam.⁵
