Rensis Likert married C Jane.3 Rensis Likert was a teacher in New York.3 Rensis was listed in 1933-5 at 24 Randolph Terrace, and in 1937 as removed to Hartford, Connecticut.

     On Friday the 28th Dr. Likert will start the first of the six lectures in the Psychology Series, planned by the Education Committee. The topic of the first lecture will be "Emotions: Their Nature and Control." This will include a discussion of the emotions and how they affect our behaviour, and the importance of controling our emotions and different ways of so doing. A period following the lecture has been set aside for discussion. The lecture will take place in Room 204 of the Plaza Building.4

Herbert Dohms was born on 24 August 1916 in Brooklyn, New York.7 Herbert Dohms married Jean E. on 24 August 1942 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.8 Herbert Dohms was an insurance agent with the New York Life Insurance Company in New York.9,7 Herbert Dohms died on 16 October 2000.8 Jean was born on 18 February 1921 in Hibbing, Minnesota.8 She died on 1 September 2003 in Crystal Lake, Michigan.8 Obituary in the Iron Mountain Daily in October 2000.
Crystal Falls — Herbert S. Dohms, 84, of 195 Northcliff Drive, Crystal Falls, died Monday, Oct. 16, 2000, at his home.
He was born Aug. 24, 1916, in Brooklyn, N.Y., son of the late Walter and Augusta (Baldt) Dohms.
He graduated from Heron High School in New York City and also graduated in aviation training. He attended officers' training school and served as a Master Mariner in the U.S. Maritime Services with the Moore McCormick Lines on its South American run. He also served as a quartermaster in the Naval Reserves.
Mr. Dohms worked as an insurance salesman for the New York Life Insurance Company until his retirement.
On Aug. 24, 1942, he married the former Jean Pardee and the couple would spend their summers at Chicaugon Lake. The couple moved from Radburn, N.J., where they had resided for 45 years, to Chicaugon Lake in 1990 to make their home.
Mr. Dohms had served on the Board of Trustees of Radburn, N.J. He had also been a member of the Iron County Golden K Kiwanis Club and the Iron River Elks Lodge 1671. He had also been an active member of the Iron County Historical Society and helped with many events at the Iron County Museum.
In accordance with Mr. Dohm's wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral services.
The Langenberg Funeral Home-Iron River Chapel is in charge of arrangements.7

Crystal Falls - Jean E. Dohms, 83, of 195 North Cliff Drive, Crystal Falls, died Monday, Sept. 1, 2003, at the Iron County General Hospital.
She was born Feb. 18, 1921, in Hibbing, Minn., daughter of the late Franklin and Ruth (Underwood) Pardee. The family moved to Crystal Falls and later to East Lansing, where Jean graduated from high school. She attended Michigan State for one year and then moved to Brazil with her family where her father served as a liaison for the U.S. State Department and Brazil in locating strategic minerals for the war effort.
She met Herbert Dohms in Rio de Jenero and the couple were married on Aug. 24, 1942. They first lived in Mobile, Ala. for one year and then Jean moved to New York City while her husband was in the service.
The couple moved to Radburn, N.J. in 1945 where they lived for 45 years. They would spend the summer months at their cottage on Chicaugon Lake where they moved in 1990 to make their permanent home. Mr. Dohms preceded her in death on Oct. 16, 2000.
Jean earned a master of library science degree from Pratt Institute on June 4, 1976, and had been a librarian and associate professor at the Bergen Community College in Bergen County, N.J.
She was a free lance writer and had authored the book "Down Our Road." She was a member of the Michigan Outdoors Writers and the U.P. Writers, Publishers, and Authors. She had served as a board member of the Iron County Historical Society and Museum and in 1989 was selected Community Minded Woman of the Twentieth Century Women's Club. She was also an accomplished dancer.
In 2001, she was presented with a lifetime achievement award by the Upper Peninsula Writers Association. She was also given the James A. O. Crowe award for outstanding achievement for the best outdoor magazine column in 2002.
There will be no visitation. A memorial service is planned for June 2004 at the Iron County Museum.
The family suggests that memorials can be made to the Iron County Museum, Iron County Hospice, St. Mark's Episcopal Church in Crystal Falls, or the St. Vincent de Paul Society. The Langenberg Funeral Home - Crystal Falls Chapel is serving the family with funeral arrangements.8


24 Randolph Terrace was not listed in the numerical directory 1944. In 1931 and 1937 it was listed as vacant. In 1968-1973 it was also not listed.
