In the 1940 census he is listed as an office manager (discophones).5,4,2,6 Jewel was born in 1895 in New York.5 Herbert and Jewel had a son Bruce.5,2 Bruce was born in 1922 in New York.2 Bruce H. Bode was in 1941 a student.6
