Ype Kuipers was born on 12 August 1872 in Menaldumadeel, Friesland, The Netherlands.1,2 He married Aukje Glass.1 Abe Cooper died on 10 June 1956 in Paterson General Hospital, Paterson, Passaic County, New Jersey.1 He was buried on 12 June 1956 in Fair Lawn (Fair Lawn Memorial Cemetery.)1

Arjen Kuipers and Ype Kuipers immigrated on the Maasdam, arriving in New York on 31 May 1893, together with Arendtje Kuipers. Arjen and Upe are going to New York, Arendje to Paterson (Last name is transcribed as Kunpers.)3 Abe Cooper arrived on the Nieuw Amsterdam on Sep 25, 1911, from Rotterdam. He was a non-immigrant alien, going home to NJ (town not readable, transcribed as Bucktown) He had been here earlier: 1893. Occupation: Butcher. Town of birth: Maisum. He has a sister G. Mulder in Deinum.4
