Her parents were Matthijs Beilanus and Trijntje Zondervan.2 Jan Stap and Hiltje Stap immigrated on the Maasdam from Rotterdam, arriving in New York on 23 Mar 1896, with six children: Trijntje (13), Aaltje (11), Geertje (9), Abraham (7), Matthijs (5) en Maartje (4). They are going to Paterson, NJ. Jan is a merchant.4,5
