Abraham Verduin was born on 8 December 1796 in Ouddorp, Goeree-Overflakkee, Zuid Holland, The Netherlands.1,2 He was baptized on 1 January 1797 in (NH), Ouddorp, Goeree-Overflakkee, Zuid Holland, The Netherlands.2 He married (1) Antje Steenmark on 29 June 1821 in Ouddorp, Goeree-Overflakkee, Zuid Holland.3 Abraham Verduin married (2) Jacomijntje Melis on 19 September 1834 in Ouddorp, Goeree-Overflakkee, Zuid Holland.4 Abraham Verduin died on 18 February 1889 in Paterson, Passaic County, New Jersey.1 He was buried on 21 February 1889 in Hawthorne (First Holland Cemetery.)1

His parents were Klaas Verduin and Willemijntje van Hoven, his grandparents Claas Verduin and Matie Abrams Roon & Jan Franse van Hoven and Cornelia Beeuwsier.3 His son lived at 129 Montgomery Street, Paterson, Passaic County, New Jersey at the time of Abraham's death.1 Abraham Verduin and Jacomijntje Melis immigrated on the Dutch Bark Maria Magdalena from Rotterdam, arriving in New York on 8 May 1852. Listed as Abrm Verduin (55, farmer) and his wife Jacobnynte (56). They are listed next to Willem and his wife Elizabeth.5
