     Roelof Engberts was from in Almelo at his marriage.2 He married Frederica Bakker, daughter of Harmen Bakker, in Almelo2,1 (banns (NH) 24 Apr 1718, Almelo.)2 He died bet 1758 - 1764, because he makes a will in 1758, and died before Gradus' marriage.1,3

More Information:

Roelof Engbers and Frederica Bakker with her guardian Jan Fredrik Hein made a will on 10 Dec 1758. They name each other as heir. They name as sole heir their 5 children, namely Hermen Engbers, Geesjen Engbers, now married to Otto Nijhof, Eerdewijn Engbers, Garrit Engbers and Gerhardus Engbers.1

Albert Wanschers widower of Anneken Derks conveyed his half house, of which the other half belongs to Jan Wanschers, with the land from the backdoor, along the weaversroom of Jan Wanschers, until the warehouse of the widow of Eerdwijn van der Horst, with the right to build on until the weaversroom of Jan Wanscher, and the right to half the well and half the outhouse, like the widow Hendrik Wanschers has always used, with the ditch to the widow van der Horst, on the condition that the sellers want to keep the half shed next to the house of Gerrit Scholten, to Roelof Engberts and his wife Frederica Bakker and heirs.4

Hermen Boom, and his wife Aeltjen Coersen conveyed to Roelof Engberts, and his wife Theodora Bakker and heirs, their half house and weaver's room with two looms, and the attic with space for four looms.5

Stadsgericht, Almelo, 17 Feb 1753:
Roelof Engberts, and his wife Frederica Bakker took out a mortgage with Albertus Bastiaan, and his wife Anna Christina Lubelije and heirs, with as collateral their house and yard, next to the rearhouse of steward Stuurman, the other half of which belongs to Jan Rhee.6

Landgericht, Almelo, 30 Nov 1758:
Roelof Engberts, and his wife Frederica Bakker conveyed to Harmen ten Bruggencate Janszn, and his wife Aeltjen ter Braake. The salescontract was dated 31 May 1758, their piece of land in the Hagen, between the land of Arent Swissen and the land of Harmen ten Bruggencate Janszn.7

1748 Stad Almelo census: Household of Roelof Engberts (3rd quarter). Household consists of Roelof, his wife, and four children: Harmen, 24 yr, Eerdewijn, 14 yr, and two under 10. Garrit is not mentioned, but is still alive. Geesken and Gradus are probably the unnamed children.8
1750 Heerlijkheid Almelo taxlist: Roelof Engberts. The total estate was valued at 160:0:0.9
