     Janna Boom was from in Heerlijkheid Almelo at her marriage.1,2 She was baptized (NH) on 4 Jan 1750 in Almelo.3 She married (NH) Hendrik de Ruiter, son of Jan de Ruiter and Geesken Knoop, on 8 May 1785 in Almelo4,2 (banns (NH) 8 Apr 1785, Almelo.)2 She died on 7 Jan 1818 at Nieuwe Einde, house #5 in Stad Almelo. Jan Frederik Scholten and Arend Hagedoorn Bzn were the witnesses.1,4

Hendrik de Ruiter and Janna Boom with her guardian Johannes Albertus Hagedoorn made a will on 16 Mar 1806. They rescind their previous wills. They name each other as sole heir, with the proviso that, if Janna Boom remarries she has to give all his clothes or ƒ100.- to the mother of Hendrik de Ruiter, namely Geesken Knoop, the widow of Jan de Ruiter, of if she predeceases him, to his brother Bernardus de Ruijter or his children. If Hendrik de Ruiter remarries, he has to give the clothes or ƒ100.- to the sister of testatrix Geertruijd Boom, the children of her late sister Anna Boom, married to Gerrit van het Veerenhuis, the child of her late brother Arent Boom, husband of Berendina van het Noordik, and the children of her late brother Hendrik Boom, husband of Janna Post. If the survivor does not remarry, the inheritance will go to the next-of-kin in 2 equal portions.5
