     Baerent ten Bruggencate was born in 1731 in Heerlijkheid Almelo.6,1,7 He (1) married (NH) Jenneken ten Bruggenkate, daughter of Benjamin ten Bruggencate and Janna ter Brake, on 19 May 1755 in Almelo1 (banns (NH) 19 Apr 1755, Almelo.)1 He (2) married Fenna Kramer5 (banns (NH) 1 Feb 1777, Almelo)5 They went in Feb 1777 with certificate to Ulsen.5 He died on 1 May 1809 in Stad Almelo. Fenna Kramer was the witness2 Three children survived him.2

More Information:
Baerent ten Bruggencate was bet 1788 - 1795 a council member of Stad Almelo.8 He was shoemaker (1754), tanner (1795.)9,10 He was mentioned in the will of Isaak ten Bruggencate and Aaltjen ten Getkate on 3 Apr 1764.4
Baerent ten Bruggencate and Jenneken ten Bruggenkate with her guardian Dr. Georg Hendrik Hein made a will on 13 Oct 1772. They wish to have a proper burial. They name each other sole heir. Testator gives his parents Izaak ten Bruggenkate and Aaltjen ten Getkate, if they survive him, their legal portion. He leaves to the sons of both his sisters, namely, namely Maria ten Bruggenkate and Jenneken ten Bruggenkate his linnen and woollen clothes. If his parents predecease him, and his wife remarries, she has to pay his still living heirs 800 Car. gld. Testatrix leaves her clothes to the daughters of her brothers and sisters. She leaves to her sister Geertruijt ten Bruggenkate, married to Jan Troost, or if she predeceases her to her children 100 Car. gld. If her husbands remarries, he has to pay her still living heirs 700 Car. gld.3

Landgericht, Almelo, 22 Jul 1754:

Baerent ten Bruggencate, Klaas Troofst, Jacobus Monnik and Roelof Paschen, master shoemakers in Almelo, appearing also for the other guild members, on 22 Jul 1754 had arrested Gerradus Warnink for the unlawful sale of a pair of shoes. Klaas Troofst had found Gerradus, the son of the master shoemaker Egbert Warnink of Borne, this afternoon at the house of Gerhardus Rhee, with a pair of new shoes, whereof he, Klaas Troofst ey were brought here to be sold, counter to the rules of the shoemakers guild, that was recently started within Almelo. Aforenamed Egbert Warnink refused to pay the guild, and so he was arrested. Then appeared the arrested Gerradus Warnink, minos son of his father Egbert Warnink, master shoemaker in Borne, with lawyer Dr. Hein as his guardian, and asked that he not be put in jail, but would be allowed to stay somewhere more comfortable until tomorrow. The complainants say he can stay with Klaas Troofst.9

Landgericht, Almelo, 24 Sep 1764:
Abraham ten Bruggencate Benjzn, and his wife Geertruij Spijkers conveyed to Barent ten Bruggencate Isaaczn, his wife Jenneken ten Bruggenkate, and Benjamin ten Bruggenkateand his wife Joanna Boom, their third part of 4 pieces of land in the Aakamp, of which the other two-thirds belongs to the buyers.11

Landgericht, Almelo, 20 Feb 1767:
Piternella Wolters widow of Lambert ten Bruggenkate, with Gerrit ter Brake as guardian conveyed a piece of land in the Bartelsgaarden, the second piece from the Bartels Bridge, between the land of Jannes Revius and that of Claas Troost, to Barent ten Bruggencate Isaaczn and his wife Jenneken ten Bruggenkate. The salescontract was dated 9 Jan 1767.12

Stadsgericht, Almelo, 22 Dec 1767:
Jan Trovest, and his wife R:Getuige1NP] took out a mortgage with Klaas Trovest, and his wife Harmina ter Horst, and Barent ten Bruggencate Isaaczn and his wife Jenneken ten Bruggenkate, with as collateral their house, in which they are living, with the garden behind it.13

Landgericht, Almelo, 23 Dec 1774:
Barent ten Bruggencate Isaaczn, and Jenneken ten Bruggenkate, his wife conveyed to Berent ten Bruggencate, Benj:zoon and his wife Jenneken ten Bruggencate and heirs, four pieces of land, called the Aakamp or Aagaarden.14

Landgericht, Almelo, 23 Dec 1774:
Barent ten Bruggencate Isaaczn, and Jenneken ten Bruggenkate, his wife conveyed to Berent ten Bruggencate, Benjzoon and his wife Jenneken ten Bruggencate and heirs, their half of a piece of land near the garden of Gerrit ter Braake, of which the other half already is owned by the buyer, and that they had owned in common.14

Landgericht, Almelo, 9 Dec 1775:
Baerent ten Bruggencate, and his wife Jenneken ten Bruggenkate conveyed to Dr. Hendrick van Heilbron, and his wife Geesken Warners and heirs, their garden, in the so-called Bartels gaarden, between the garden of Johannes Revius and that of Claas Troost.15

Stadsgericht, Almelo, 29 May 1797:
Wolter Baarschers, and his wife Geertruit Nijkamp took out a mortgage with Barent ten Bruggencate Jr, with as collateral their person and property, especially their house, next to that of Hendrik Warnink, in which they are living.16
