     Balthasar de Bane was born in 1602 in Leiden.¹ He (1) married Susanna Harel¹ (banns 22 Nov 1628, Amsterdam. He had the consent of his father (hard to read), her witness was her mother Marya Mote.)¹ He (2) married Cathalijne de Planque⁴ (banns 30 Jul 1636, Leiden. He was wid. of Susanne Harel, liv. Hogewoert, his witness was his brother-in-law Tomas de Roo, liv. Amsterdam; she was wid. of Anthoni de Didyer, liv. Oude Cingel, her witness was her sister-in-law Cathalina de Didier.)⁴ He was buried on 12 Oct 1667 at Leiden.²

Other information:
     Balthasar was one of the regents of the Loridanshof, established in 1656 by Pieter Loridans. It consisted of 12 apartments and the regentsroom. It was restored in 1950, and is a national monument since 1968.^2,5

Thomas de Roo, Jean Harel, and Philippe Cateau; father designated 'le fils'), Balthazar (30 Dec 1632, sp. Thoussaint Mujssart, Lowijs Watelier, and Esther de Bane), and Elizee (20 Apr 1634, sp. Lambert Gromme, Jacques van Rouvenay, and M.A. Roningh).⁶

Pierre Cateau, Rachel de Bane, and Philippote de Bane), Anna (NH Hooglandse kerk 23 dec 1642, sp. Isaac Becco, Hester de Bane, and Hesther Kerpeijn), and Susanne (21 Jun 1646, sp. Noe Barbry, Susanne Mussart, and Philippine Sumer).⁶
