     Charles (Karel) Coopman was born on 6 Feb 1794 in Heerlen.2,1 He married Sara Hertzdahl, daughter of Lob Hertzdahl and Judith Coletto, on 20 Jun 1828 at Sittard. Her brother Jacob Hertszdahl was one of the witnesses.1,3 He died a 1873 probably in Mainz.1

Session of 13 Dec 1870:
Godschalk Horn asked that a subsidy be given to Karel Koopman, who is presently living in Mainz, because he is very old, and has no means of living. Mr. De Borman proposed to give Koopman a subsidy of 10 guilders/three months, which passed unanimously.
Session of 10 Feb 1873:
A plea by Karel Koopman, who is being cared for in Mainz in an institution, to increase his subsidy of 40 guilders, is denied unanimously.1
