Amos Jenkins was born on 8 Mar 1769 in Camden District or District 96, South Carolina.2,3 He married Elizabeth Russell, daughter of Samuel Russell and Rosanna Pearson, on 14 Nov 1799 at Newberry County, South Carolina.3 He died in 1835 in Concord Township, Ohio.1,3

On 7 Apr 1835 David Jenkins and Jesse Jenkins appeared in Miami County court, and produced the will of Amos Jenkins, deceased. Samuel Jenkins and Isaac Rupill were the executors. David Jenkins and Robert Jenkins were the bondsmen.4

1790 Fed. census (2 Aug): Household of David Jenkins, Newberry District, South Carolina. Amos Jenkins was probably included in the Free Males over 16 years of age.5
