Jane Blaw, widow of the late Jaromes Cashow, of Somerset Cty., who died intestate, and her present husband Frederick Blaw, refuse to administer on the estate of said Cashow, recommending Peter Nevius as administrator. Peter Nevius posts bond as administrator on 18 Mar 1754, David Nevius fellow bondsman, both of said COunty, yeoman.6
On 17 Nov 1775 a number of Blews signed two petitions to the Legislative Council, from citizens near the line of division between East and West New Jersey expressing concerns about changes to the East & West Jersey boundary line. The original line should be maintained (Manuscript Collection,1680s-1970s, State Library MSS Coll.#1-100. NJ State Archives, box 5-1, folder 80, pg. 6, entry #8, 9, 22, 25, 28, 75, and ?)
These could be: Frederick Blaw (#9) and his sons Fredrick (#22) and Isaac (#28); his brother or his nephew Michael (#8), his nephews Lambert (#25) and William (or his son-in-law) (#?); and a Sattore Blew (#75), who is not in the Blue genealogy. Could he be related to Henry Sartor(e), husband of Dina Blaw? It cannot have been John Salter Blue (b. 1766, bapt. Harlingen, NJ), grandson of Frederick, and son of John Blew and Catherine Sortore, as he would have been only 9 yrs old, when the petition was signed.7
Frederick Blaw made a will on 10 Dec 1790. It was proved on 15 June 1793.
