Thomas Stebbins was born on 31 Jul 1648 in Springfield, Massachusetts.2,1 He (1) married Abigail Munn, daughter of Benjamin Munn and Abigail Burt, on 21 Dec 1672 at Springfield.3,1,4 He (2) married Mary Ely, daughter of Robert Day and Editha Stebbins, on 12 Apr 1694 at Springfield.3,5 He died on 7 Dec 1695.1

Thomas Stebbins and Abigail Munn had seven more children, all born in Springfield, Massachusetts: Thomas (b. 28 Jan 1673, d. 20 Mar 1675), Abigail (b. 27 May 1675, d. 15 Mar 1692), Hannah (b. 29 Dec 1677, d. 10 Jan 1698?), ? (stillborn 23 Nov 1678), Thomas (b. 30 Nov 1682, d. 9 Sep 1684), Sarah (b. 17 Apr 1686), and Mary (b. 1 Dec 1688).1,6
He was on 16 Feb 1670/71 fined 20 shilling for "profanation of the Sabbath." He had posted the publication of the intended marriage of Richard Barnard and Sarah Clark without permission or knowledge of the parties or their parents, and had added a foolish rhyme about the town and the maidens in it. He confessed and payed his fine quickly.7
