John Barnard made a will on 21 May 1664.
He makes his wife Mary Barnard executor, and leaves her all his real estate in Hadley and in Wethersfield, CT. If Mary dies, the Wethersfield property goes to the children of Henry Haward, and some of the Hadley lands for the maintenance of the school; the house and homelot, with outhouses and malthouse to his kinsman Morgan Bedient; all other land in Hadley to Thomas Bedient; to his sister Mary Bedient five pounds, if she comes to New England.1
