He was of Woburn after 1651, before which he resided in Charlestown. In 1694 he had lots at Boggy Field, in the well-known Eames neighborhood on New Boston Street.1,2

Robert and Thomas were brothers; their father is possibly William. The name is also spelled Ames. They are apparently not related to other Eames, who also came to New England.3
