William Bigelow was born on 1 Jul 1768 in Chester, Worcester County.2,1 He (1) married Elizabeth (Betsey) Eager on 10 Jan 1793 at Brookfield, Massachusetts, (She was b. at Brookfield, d. c. 1802 in Westfield, NY.)2,1 He (2) married Mercy Wood c 1803 at Westfield, New York, (She was dec. c. 1820 in Chester, Worcester County, MA.)2 He (3) married Hannah c 1821 (She was b. c. 1785 in CT, and died c. 1826 in Mt Pleasant, Wayne County, PA.)2 He died a 1850 in Mount Pleasant, Pennsylvania.2

William Bigelow and Betsy Eager had 5 children: Dolly Eager (b. 11 Apr 1793), William Briggs, (b. 16 Jun 1797), Betsy Orilla, (b 22 Aug 1799 Westfield, NY), daughter, (b & d 17 Aug 1801 Chester, MA), and Dennis Ward (b. 22 May 1805). The birth were recorded in Chester, MA.2
William Bigelow and Hannah had 2 children: Alonzo L. (b 1823) en Chauncey (b. 1825), both b. in Mt. Pleasant, PA.2
The marriage with Mercy Wood is from the Bigelow website, but there are a number of problems. He married her c. 1803 in Westfield, NY, (where his first wife died), but she dies in Chester, MA in 1820, years after he acquired land in Mount Pleasant, PA. He is in Mount Pleasant in the 1820 and 1830 census.(see.)
