Hendrick Rycken was born in Arnhem1,2 3. Hendrick was baptized (NH) on 4 Oct 1646 at Arnhem.2 He married Femmetje.1 He died b 1707 because because he is not listed in the 1707 census of Staten Island.2

He immigrated with Ryck Hendricksen b 1658 to New Netherland.4
A Hendrick Rycken was among the men who took the oath of allegiance in Kings County in the Province of New York for Flackbush on 26-30 Sep 1687. He is listed as being 24 yrs old. This is the Hendrick, who later calls himself Suydam.5
Desc. of Pieter and Maretje are baptized in Staten Island, no children of Hendrik. Some children of a Hendrick Rycken and Itie Jacobs are baptized in Breukelen in 1666 and 1668, but those are the other Rikers, to whom we are not related.6,7
