At Louis' birth they had had 5 previous children, but only three (inclusive of Louis) living.8
After Morris died, their children Jacob, Ida and Louis all spent some time in the New York Hebrew Orphan Asylum.9
When Rose withdraws Louis from the Orphan Asylum in 1918, she lives in Penns Grove, New Jersey and signs as Rose Edelman Widoff; when Samuel in 1919 withdraws Bessie from the Asylum he also lives in Penns Grove, New Jersey.10,11 She and Samuel Widoff lived in 1920 in Camden.12
