Later he became an undertaker in North Judson, Indiana, that was more lucrative than being a teacher.2 He lived while growing up at 535 Summit and North West in Winamac. This house was still standing in 1992.2 He and Elsie Owens lived at the time of his mother's death in North Judson.4
