My grandparents lived in the Oosterstraat, one block north of the Drachtstervaart, and just to the right of the main street in the middle (right click on the\u00a0map to open in new tab and enlarge)<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/dutchgenie.net\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/08193-GdeHaan-Drachten-house.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-1072\" src=\"http:\/\/dutchgenie.net\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/08193-GdeHaan-Drachten-house-300x219.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"219\" srcset=\"http:\/\/dutchgenie.net\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/08193-GdeHaan-Drachten-house-300x219.jpg 300w, http:\/\/dutchgenie.net\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/08193-GdeHaan-Drachten-house-332x242.jpg 332w, http:\/\/dutchgenie.net\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/08193-GdeHaan-Drachten-house.jpg 600w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Opa did have an office in the house, but his real office might have been at #8, which is labelled &#8216;Kantoor Rijksontvanger&#8217; (Tax Collectors Office) in a legend I found on the site of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ouddrachten.nl\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Oud Drachten<\/a>, another site with lots of images and maps of Drachten.
