Notes: The 1880 census shows Samuel Bogert Haring, wife Lettie, and their two sons, living
with his mother, Betsey Bogert Haring in Harrington. The entry reads Betsey Haaring, self,
68, NJ; Samuel B. Haaring, son, 42; Letty Haaring, DauL, 40; Tunis B. Haaring, Gson, 15;
and Arther Haaring, Gson, 10.
When Betsey Bogert Haring made her will in May 1889, she was still living in Harrington
(in what's now Norwood on the family farm), but when she died December 31, 1890 she was
living with her daughter, Anna Maria Onderdonk, in Westwood. When her will was probated a
few weeks later, in January 1891, son Samuel Bogert Haring was living in Tappan, NY.
Betsey was buried in the family burial ground on the farm. Budke's cemetery records call
it the Allison Farm, and it remains to be determined when the property changed hands.
