Wolter Baarschers1,2

M, #8766, ° s 1620
  • Proven or possible relations:
  • Wolter Baarschers was the son-in-law of Gese Bruins.1,3
  • Wolter can not be the same person as Wolter Baarschers. Wolter Baarschers's mother-in-law is Gese, and Wolter Baarschers has a daughter Geesje, but Wolter Baarschers is also married to a Geesje. Wolter Baarschers died after 1703, and Wolter Baarschers is of age in 1650, so unless he was very old, these two are not the same. Maybe Wolter Baarschers is the father of Wolter Baarschers.
Wolter Baarschers married Geesken Bruggencatte, daughter of Hermen Hermsen ten Bruggencate and Gese Bruins, b 1650 (He was the son-in-law of Gese Bruins in 1650.)1,2

Court Records:

Almelo, 14 Jan 1650:
Gese Bruins, widow of Herman Hermsen Bruggencatte, was sued to pay F50.- with interest. She, assisted by Wolter Baarschers, her son-in-law, and Gerrit ten Bruggenkattes, brother of her husband, declares that she knows nothing of this debt.1,2
