     Jan Meijer was born c 1759 in Heerlijkheid Almelo.1,5 He married (RK) Janna Leunk, daughter of Jan op de Oude Leuvik and Berendina Leus, on 19 Aug 1793 in Almelo6,7 (banns (NH) 20 Jul 1793, Almelo.)1 They were married (NH) on 18 Aug 1793 in Almelo.1 He died on 9 Mar 1809 at Kiefte in Ambt Almelo. Gradus Boom was the witness5 Three children survived him.5
