Geert Gerritsen, aka Maat Geert, and his wife Gebbe took out a mortgage with the Church of Almelo, with as collateral their house and garden and all their goods.1

Stadsgericht, Almelo, 26 Oct 1677:
Geert Gerritsen, and his wife Gebbe Geertsen took out a mortgage with the widow of Geert Muller, with as collateral their house, between the house of Egbert Glaesemaacker and that of Arent Veeren. This mortgage was earlier in name of the parents of Gebbe Geertsen.2
