     Aaltje van Locchum was born in 1731 in Enschede.2,5 She married Hendrik Bavink Berendszoon, son of Berent Bavink and Geesje van Lochem,1,6,7 (banns (NH) 19 Mar 1751, Almelo)2 They went on 10 Apr 1751 with certificate to Enschede.2 She died bet 1793 - 1795, because she makes a will in 1793, and that is probated in 1795.3

Aaltje van Locchum made a will on 27 Aug 1793.
She was the widow of Hendrik Bavink Bzn. She rescinds all her previous wills. She give in advance to her son Barend Bavink and his wife Margaretha van Loghem the house, rearhouse, and garden in Almelo, which she has bought from the heirs of Johannes ten Cate, in which Barend Bavink and his wife now live, on the condition that they pay ƒ8000.- into the estate. They also get everything that has to do with the business, the plant and the weaver's tools plant, including all yarn and cotton fabrics, at least the half which belongs to her according to the contract of 12 Dec 1780 and the inventory of 31 Dec 1780, on the condition that they pay the amount of the last balance sheet, but if the tool plant does not have a balance, he has to pay the amount it was valued at in 1780. He has to pay this amount in instalments within 3 years of her death. The credits on the balance sheet that have not been paid by that time, will be the joint responsiblity of the heirs. She leaves in advance to her daughter Gezina Bavink the house, rearhouse and garden in Almelo, in which testatrix lives, with the garden between the bleachery of the House Almelo and that of Ds. ten Cate and Hendrik ten Cate, and also the garden on the road to the Hondebrink, on the condition that she pays ƒ8000.- into the estate, and that her son Barend Bavink can rent the rearhouse for ƒ25.- per annum, for at least 2 years after her death, but the daughter will be allowed to store peat and wood there. Barend Bavink also has the right of 1st refusal, if his sister Gezina Bavink would want to sell her inherited real estate. In addition she will receive in advance an uitzet of money, linen bedsheets, etc. just as the 2 oldest children have received. She gives in advance to her granddaughters Alida Bavink, Maria Bavink and Catherina Bavink, children of her daughter Catharina Bavink and Coenraad Bavink all debt she is owed by her son-in-law Coenraad Bavink. She leaves the Mennonite Parish ƒ300.-, and the Reformed Parish ƒ200.-. She names as sole heir her son Barend Bavink and if he predeceases her, his wife Margaretha van Loghem and their children, her daughter Gezina Bavink, and the children of her late daughter Catharina Bavink, wife of Coenraad Bavink, namely Alida Bavink, Maria Bavink and Catherina Bavink, to be divided in 3 equal portions. If one of the forementioned grandchildren dies, her portion will go to her still living sister(s). If all 3 granddaughters would die unmarried, their portions will go to her son Barend Bavink and her daughter Gezina Bavink or their legal heirs, excluding Coenraad Bavink. She names as guardians over forementioned grandchildren and as executors her brother-in-law Lambertus Nieuwenhuis and her son Barend Bavink with the stipulation that no one has the right to check the administration.3

Gezina Bavink, with her guardian Othmar ten Cate present in the presence of Othmar ten Cate and Lambertus Nieuwenhuis, in the house of Aaltje van Locchum, widow of Hendrik Bavink Bzn, the will of Aaltje van Locchum, widow of Hendrik Bavink Bzn for probate.3
