  • Was Lambert Boom possibly the son of Jan Lambertsen Boom? Lambert Boom's father was living in 1718. Lammert is named after his grandfather. In view of the fact that later Gerrit Otto Boom and Francina Hendrina Harwich are described as cousins, the relation seems plausible.
     Lambert Boom was from in Almelo at his marriage.1 He married (NH) Janna Bolk, daughter of Jan Bolck, on 15 Jan 1718 in Almelo1,2,3 (banns (NH) 26 Dec 1717, Almelo.)1 He died bet 27 Mar 1748 - 24 May 1748, because he makes a will in March and died before Christina's marriage.2,4

Lambert Boom and Johanna Bolk with her guardian Secr. Hein made a will on 27 Mar 1748. They name each other as heir. They name as sole heir their 3 still living children, namely Jan Hendrik Boom, Stiene Boom, and Jenneke Boom. They wish that their eldest son Jan Hendrik Boom shall get the parental house for himself, and also the house they have bought from the heirs of the late Anneken Meeuwis, and the bleaching shed, the garden and the dwellings, bought from the heirs of Liers, and also the brewers tools and the kettle, for which he has to pay ƒ3500.- car. guilder to the estate.2 Lambert Boom's estate was probated on 16 Sep 1750. The widow of Lambert Boom, her son Jan Hendrik Boom and her son-in-laws J. W. Harwig and Gerrit Dake, for their resp wives Stiene Boom and Jenneke Boom present Lambert Boom's will for probate.2

Stadsgericht, Almelo, 27 Nov 1728:
Dr. A. J. Dull and Dr. G.H. Hein both judges and lawyers in Almelo, as guardians over the bankrupt estate of Jacobus Heijke and his late wife Alberdina Peters conveyed to Lambert Boom, and his wife Janna Bolk, a house and yard, with the dwellings in the rear, called "Het Gekroonde Lam," located at the Platse, in which the aforementioned couple was living.5

Stadsgericht, Almelo, 22 Oct 1737:
Egbert Peppels, and his wife Lugert Bolmeijer took out a mortgage with Lambert Boom, and his wife Janna Bolk and heirs, with as collateral their half house, in which they are living, between the house of Hendrik ten Cate and that of Wilm Bolck.6

Stadsgericht, Almelo, 19 Sep 1740:
Jan Trovest, and his wife took out a mortgage with Lambert Boom, and his wife Johanna Bolk and heirs, with as collateral their half house and yard, in which they are living, of which the other half belongs to Gerrit Swam.7
