     Fenneke Spijkers was born a 1720 in Heerlijkheid Almelo.1,4 She married (NH) Herman ten Bruggenkate, son of Benjamin ten Bruggencate and Janna ter Brake, on 20 Sep 1744 in Almelo1,5 (banns (NH) 22 Aug 1744, Almelo.)1 She died b 30 Mar 1786, because her will is probated.2

She was mentioned in the will of Geertruid ten Bruggencate on 13 Oct 1755.9 She was mentioned in the will of Harmen ten Bruggenkate Benjzn on 31 Mar 1781.10 She presented Harmen ten Bruggenkate Benjzn's will for probate on 3 Jun 1785.10
Fenneke Spijkers with her guardian Otto Lindeman made a will on 31 Mar 1781. Testatrix wishes a proper funeral. She rescinds all her previous wills. She names her husband Harmen ten Bruggenkate Benjzn as sole heir, in the understanding that after his death her possessions will go to her here-afternamed family. She leaves to her 4 nieces, the three daughters of her brother Bernardus Spijker, namely Geertruit Spijker, Janna Spijker and Benjamina Spijker, and the daughter of her late brother Hermannus Spijker, namely Geertruij Spijker all her clothes, to be distributed after her death. She names as sole heir of all her possessions the 4 children of her late brother Hermannus Spijker, namely Herman Spijker, Geertruij Spijker, Albert Spijker and Jannes Spijker, the 3 children of her brother Bernardus Spijker, namely Geertruit Spijker, Hermen Spijker and Janna Spijker, and the 2 daughters of her brother Gerrit Spijker, namely Geertruid Spijker and Elizabeth Spijker, to be divided in 9 equal portions, and to be paid after the death of the survivor. Furthermore she wishes that if Herman Spijker Hermannuszn, Hermen Spijker Bernarduszn and Geertruid Spijker would predecease her, their portion will go to their resp. children. Herman Spijker Hermannuszn has to administer the portion of Hermen Spijker Bernarduszn, and pay him yearly ƒ30.- for rent and peat, as long as there is money in the inheritance. All the furniture will go to 4 children of her brother Hermannus Spijker, the 2 children of her brother Bernardus Spijker and the eldest daughter of her brother Gerrit Spijker, namely Geertruid Spijker and Elizabeth Spijker. She leaves to her niece Benjamina Spijker, daughter of her brother Bernardus Spijker a sum of ƒ2000.-, which will be received and admiinistered by Herman Spijker Hermannuszn to be used for the boarding costs. This shall continue for the rest of Benjamina Spijker's life, and after her death this money shall be divided between the aforementioned heirs. She names Herman Spijker Hermannuszn as executor.6 Fenneke Spijker's estate was probated on 30 Mar 1786. Herman Spijker Hzn, and Herman Spijker Bzn and Geertruid Spijker B.dr, nephews and nieces of the late Fenneke Spijker, present the will of Fenneke Spijker, widow of Hermen ten Bruggencate Benjzn. Present is also Jan Witbreuk, who has bought the portion of Geertruid Spijker G.dr. The presentation took place in the house of Claas Troost2 Fenneke Spijkers gives in her will to her niece Benjamina Spijker ƒ2000.-, which Herman Spijker shall receive to administer and use for boarding costs.2

Landgericht, Almelo, 15 Mar 1786: The widow of Harmen ten Bruggenkate Benjzn sold at a public sale, the house in which she was living, next to the house of Hendrik Bavink's widow, with the land behind it, partially located in the Buitengericht to Herman Spijker. Burgemeester Derk Bruins and Burgemeester Jacobus Revius are security.7
Landgericht, Almelo, 15 Mar 1786:
The widow of Harmen ten Bruggenkate Benjzn sells, in a public sale, to Abraham ten Bruggenkate a piece of land, located in the Horst, which presently is leased by Harmen van Eep and Gerrit van Eep. Burgemeester Gerrit Dake and Gerrit ten Bruggencate Abz are security. It is possible that this Abraham ten Bruggencate is the buyer; but Abraham and Fenneke Roelofs sell the same piece of land again on 16 Jun 1787.7,11
