Jacobus Rutgers and Christiena Smedes with her guardian Secr. Hein made a will on 25 Jul 1730. They name each other as heir. If they still have children born, these will get their legal portion. If there are no children, than testator leaves his part of the estate to his parents.1

Jan Bakker as representative of Jan Pilhof and his wife Berendina Kuipers (proxy 17 Jul 1737 in Amsterdam), and Mr. Jan Bolk as representative of Ernst Willem Kuiper and his wife Jacomijntje van Scherpenzeel (proxy 15 Oct 1736) conveyed to Jacobus Rutgers, and his wife Christiena Smedes, their two houses and yards, the first located near the churchyard, between the Weeme and the Bouwhuis, and the other in the Klumpersgang, near the bridge, which they have inherited from their mother.2

Stadsgericht, Almelo, 28 Oct 1740:
Gerhard Boom, Dr. A. J. Dull and Dr. G.H. Hein, together appointed guardians over the estate of Jacobus Rutgers and his wife Christiena Smedes conveyed to Lambert ten Bruggencate, and heirs, the house and yard, previously owned by Jacobus Rutgers and his wife Christiena Smedes, located in the Klumpersgang next to the Gasthuis.3

Stadsgericht, Almelo, 8 May 1741:
Burgemeester Gerhard Boom, Dr. A. J. Dull and Dr. G.H. Hein, as appointed guardians over the estate of Jacobus Rutgers and his wife Christiena Smedes conveyed to Jacobus Rutgers, and his wife Luitjen Bartels and heirs, a house of two dwellings, located near the churchyard.4
