Arent Bruins was from in Almelo at his marriage.1,2 He (1) married Geertruid Janssen, daughter of Jan Pouwels,2 (banns (NH) 14 Dec 1704, Almelo.)1 He (2) married (NH) Aaltje Gerrits van Asel on 23 Sep 1719 in Almelo2 (banns (NH) 3 Sep 1719, Almelo.)2 He died b 1748, because his wife is a widow in the census.3

An Arent Bruins and Hendrik Holsbrink was heir of Gerrit van Asel and Janna Bruins, but is not proven that that this Arent is. He was however the husband of an Aaltje Gerrits van Asel. He could also be the son of Derk Bruins, who could be also the father of Janna.4
