     Judith ten Cate was born in 1699 in Almelo.1,2 She married (NH) Jan Coster, son of Jan Coster and Judith Willink, on 11 Jul 1723 in Almelo2,1,3 (banns (NH) 13 Jun 1723, Almelo.)2 She died on 22 Jan 1771 in Almelo.1

Jan Coster and Judith ten Cate with her guardian Jan Fredrik Hein made a will on 8 Dec 1760.
They declare that their property is held communally. Testator declares that the large silver teapot was a wedding present from him to his wife. Testator wishes that of the estate "Het Storksel," in Gericht Borne, that he had bought on 28 May 1733 from the Leenkamer of the House and Heerlijkheid Ruinen, half shall be divided between the 2 children from his 1st marriage and the 5 children from his 2nd marriage, and the other half in 5 equal portions between the children on his 2nd marriage. He Leaves to the 2 children from his 1st marriage, namely Judith Coster wife of Jan ten Cate Janszn, and Jan Hermen Coster husband of Aleida Coster, and to the 5 children from his 2nd marriage, namely Catharina Coster wife of Harmannus ten Cate, Elizabeth Coster wife of Hendrik Bavink Jacobszn, Aleida Coster, Focolina Coster and Johannes Coster, all 3 still unmarried, half of the common estate. Testatrix leaves the other half to her forementioned 5 children. The survivor will have the lifelong use of the estate. They give in advance, for good reasons, to their daughter Aleida Coster ƒ1500.-. Their son Johannes Coster will get the house in which testators are livng, with the yarnshed and the nearby house and bleaching field, on the condition that he pays ƒ5000.- into the estate. They wish that there 3 unmarried children, if still unmarried, will get an sum, equal to what the married children have received.7
Jan Coster's estate was probated on 5 Mar 1771. Jan ten Cate Janszn, husband of Judith Coster, Jan Hermen Coster, Hermannus ten Cate, husband of Catharina Coster, Hendrik Bavink Jacobszn, widower of Elizabeth Coster, as guardian over his 3 minor children, Aleida Coster, with her guardian Dr. E. Dull, Focolina Coster, widow of Sijbrand ten Cate, and Johannes Koster, all children and heirs of the late Jan Coster and Judith ten Cate, present their parents' will for probate.7
