     Joseph Wiechers was born c 1745 in Munster.4,1 He (1) married (NH) Anna van Campen on 24 Apr 1776 in Almelo2 (banns 19 Mar 1776, Almelo.)2 He (2) married Maria Rekers.1 He died on 29 Jul 1828 at Schokland, house #349 in Stad Almelo. Stoffer de Ruiter and Willem te Wierik were the witnesses.1

In Johannes Smit's death certificate Joseph Wiechers is listed as his grandfather; he is the stepfather of Johannes' mother. His father was Herman Wiggers.2
